Reporting to AVP, Modelling & Pricing Analytics, the Director, Risk Sharing Pool Management & Optimization will be responsible for the risk selection decision-making and financial performance of the company's participation in the Risk Sharing Pool. The incumbent will be responsible for the execution and monitoring of strategic initiatives to drive and achieve our financial objectives. This function is responsible for the optimization of risk sharing pool performance countrywide and across both broker and direct channels. This will be a high-visibility role involving frequent communications with senior leadership as well as cross-departmental exposure.

What can you expect in this role?

Optimize financial performance of the company’s RSP participation, including:

Gather industry standards and practices for various usages of the pool
Develop innovative tactics for ceding risks more optimally
Partner with data scientists and modelers on the team to design and develop predictive analytics models used to systematically flag risks of high ceding potential;

What do you bring to the role?

University degree or higher in a relevant discipline;
Strong Property and Casualty insurance knowledge;
At least 7-10 years of relevant full-time experience with experience managing people;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Strong project management skills and an ability to promote and supervise a team effort toward project completion;
Must have strong business acumen;
Knowledge/prior experience working with risk sharing pool is a strong asset.
