As the Senior Technical Developer, you will play a key role in leading the development of quality garments and ensure they meet the fit and construction requirements to reflect the OAK + FORT aesthetic. Working closely with the Sr. Designer and Sr. Production Manager, you will be a subject matter expert and a mentor to the Technical Developers and will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the brand and embrace change as it grows and evolves.


Develop on-the-body fits with the design team for seasonal product
Develop spec packages, measurements and grading for all styles
Own and lead the fit sessions - give feedback on fit improvements
Create a block library for all product categories
Proficient in Illustrator, PLM, and Gerber
Work directly with factories on style development and travel for product development
Problem solve fit and fabric issues as they arise
Coordinate approval of garments and specs
Manage and mentor junior and mid-level Technical Developers
Maintain production deadlines and the organization/logistics of samples
Continuously develop, maintain and elevate fit standards
Develop process and procedures for the Technical Developer department
Create standards manual for product categories, labels placement and QA testing
Prioritize workload for the team to maintain a good work-life balance

8+ years of experience as a Technical Developer or similar role
Degree or diploma in Design
Understanding of all categories - Knit, Woven, Fully Fashioned, Outerwear
Extensive knowledge in pattern-making and fit solutions
Experience in developing overseas production
Excellent understanding of the apparel development process and production
Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
Possess great mental and emotional leadership
Great interpersonal skills
Experience working at a startup is an asset
Thrives working in a fast-paced environment
Can easily adapt to changes and prioritize workload
