Kiewit is hiring Industrial (Formwork) Carpenters for the KEV partnership, Stage 2 Ottawa LRT Confederation Line Extension Project.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in infrastructure or bridge carpentry
- Minimum 5 years experience in carpentry
- Experience with concrete pours
- Experience in multiple segments
- Valid Fall Protection certification
- Man lift and forklift experience is an asset
- Other trade skills may include layout, rigging/signaling, cutting/welding and the erection and dismantling of scaffolding.
Shift information
- Day shift (Night shift possibility required)
- Up to 11 hours days, with OT pay
- Must be able to move around into multiple segments and can adapt into different groups and jobs duties.
Details:
The candidate will be responsible for construction, erection and installation of wood and engineered formwork systems for columns, walls, suspended slabs, slab on grade and concrete stairs. They will be doing assembly and erection of false work and forms for concrete, wood and metal frame construction while conforming to plans and specifications and local building codes.
Additional Information:
- This project is done in collaboration with Labourers' Union, Local 527. Successful candidates will have to be either a part of the Union or join the Union.

KEV is a world-class team of design, engineering, and construction companies with extensive experience on light-rail transit systems. This construction project for the Stage 2 Confederation Line of the Ottawa LRT has an estimated duration of 5 years.
