The User-Experience Designer play a key role in enabling user/technology adoption, improving user engagement and trust in the application. This person is responsible to learn and understand how users work for producing creative user-centric experiences and application interfaces. Their role is to understand user pain points and areas of concern to match people’s needs with what is technologically feasible to provide maximum business and user values.

As a User Experience Designer, you are conducting user research, creating journey maps and wireframes to define optimal system usability. You are also responsible to produce high fidelity Mock-ups, visual prototypes as well as initial UI code framework for front-end efficiency and cohesive backend integration. You collaborate with application and data designers to understand underneath business rules and data flow that needs to be consider for user interface design, support code development, and insure that product meets client need by conducting usability testing with Business.

You want this job because you advocate, at all time, user experience to improve user/technology adoption, reduce usability problem and increase user effectiveness in their day-to-day work. You have a solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, high fidelity mock-up and prototype. You have a technical background that enable you to support the front-end developers that are responsible for coding the UI framework. You are driven by innovation and up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies with deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct user workshops and stakeholder interview to discover range of opportunities for experience improvement
Facilitate client vision leading user experience workshops to determine target audiences, user needs, data requirements and compile them into user flows and storyboards
Understand business rules, user-system interaction, data models and flows, to ideate and translate concept to begin laying out interfaces (wireframes)
Understand and work with various technologies to determine the appropriate framework to produce the application
Produce High-Fidelity Mockups and Prototypes
Produce visual assets such as icons and visual style guide elements
Improve proposed model through usability sessions and user feedback
Document user interface behavior and interaction patternsCollaborate with UI developers to provide integration solutions for applications; ensuring the usability interface components are optimally performing well with dynamic data
Drive usability testing with the business and adjust product to improve user experience

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor degree in Computer sciences or Software Engineering with a focus on Front-End Engineering and User Experience Design OR Bachelor degree in Graphic / Visual design (or equivalent training)
Gradutate level education in human computer interaction or cognitive ergonomics is considered an asset
Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first, responsive design and Front-End Development
Experience with Front-End Framework libraries, and custom integration using HTML5, CSS3 and Preprocessors (Both LESS and SASS), JavaScript (jQuery)
Experience with vector-based and/or prototyping applications (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Interactive Design, Sketch, Axure, MarvelApp, inVision)
Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
Ability to work with business clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision
Understand the importance of user-centered design
Bilingualism with high proficiency in English (spoken and written)
