Reporting to site supervision, the role of Operations Field Coordinator will be expected to start once a suitable candidate is found, working 10 hours per day, Tuesday to Friday with overtime as required. This position will perform work in operations at our client’s facility located at Joffre, AB.

Maintain good relations with Customer and fellow employees while also ensuring a safe and organized area
Continuous evaluating of personnel under your supervision to manage complacency and compliance.
Comply with Quinn and Customer safety policies and procedures
Attend/run weekly safety meetings
Liaison with Training and Safety department
Provide leadership in incident investigations
Conduct mandatory worksite inspections
Work with NOVA OC to schedule NOVA and Quinn maintenance work and ensure safe and timely execution is achieved.
Assist area OPC in managing payroll
Participate and reinforce Responsible Care standards
Attend all meetings as required (safety, PC, manpower, etc.)
Participating in our safety programs
Assist area OPC in managing after hour phone calls and manage overtime coverage for absent employees
Work with NOVA OC, Logistics Planning and Raw Materials Planner to maintain safe, reliable operations
Coach and mentor Shift Leads and Operators to ensure they have the knowledge to make correct decisions.
Willing to be trained and qualified within the Operations progression system
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Must be a self-starter. Willing and able to not only highlight deficiencies but come up with solutions.
Provide excellent punctuality and attendance
Achieve an understanding of SAP basics from a maintenance, Logistics and Rail perspective.
Have good written and verbal communication skills. Possess the ability to have crucial conversations
Conduct regular work site inspections to monitor workmanship and safety compliance
Maintain relations with customer and co-workers through effective communication and interpersonal skills
Provide leadership in the area of Safety including behavior-based safety and compliance with our ten lifesaving rules.
Be a trainer, mentor and coach to other employees
Assist in ensuring operations maintain a high level of achievement and competence when completing area and equipment qualifications
Assist area OPC in providing reports required by Quinn Management (i.e. Month end reports, timesheet reporting, vacation requests, incidents, etc.)
Previous experience working with Joffre Site Safety Procedures will be considered an asset
Demonstrated commitment to safety (own and others)
Identify, report and act upon any unsafe condition or action
Good housekeeping skills
