What is the opportunity?
Working with the Senior Manager, Sourcing Execution, the Manager, Sourcing will provide Procurement support for the RBC T&O platform while influencing sourcing decisions, driving supplier consolidation and cost savings efforts; while partnering with senior management to proactively develop strategies for sourcing initiatives. The Manager will gather and analyze data to help create playbooks and strategies to support the different business models for services currently under contract and prepare findings for senior management. The Manager will also develop and negotiate non-complex contract strategies that will provide cost effective, sustainable solutions to RBC businesses, and optimizing total value generated from RBC’s supplier base.
What will you do?
Evaluate supplier proposals by interpreting and analyzing proposals against business requirements to recommend the best solution supplier recommendation to senior management and/or Sr. Manager, Sourcing Execution.
Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop various evaluation models to identify and analyze strategic issues, business unit opportunities, service levels, consolidate non-critical requirements across different suppliers.
Effectively prepare, coordinate and conduct all non-complex supplier negotiations, ensure negotiations are authorized and planned taking into consideration the requirements of all parties and organization objectives.
Develops different evaluation models which reflect the organization's principles and are appropriate for the needs of a specific tender for proposal.
Develop sourcing strategies for business units using industry analysis, business knowledge, competitive analysis and sourcing expertise.
Create plans to identify or recommend alternative suppliers against the sourcing execution plan, to maximize service levels and procurement activities and create alignment to long-term business strategies.
Manages procurement policies, processes and procedures to ensure the supplies of quality goods are acquired efficiently, on time and at a reasonable cost.
Support KPI and metric reporting to key partners and decision makers to drive insights into business trends and opportunities and measure results.
What do you need to succeed?
Post-secondary education in Finance, related Purchasing field
4+ years’ experience in global procurement, sourcing and relationship management
Experience in leading and supporting stakeholder interactions/relationships
Understanding of procurement law and/or regulations
Business, Financial and Contract Acumen
