The Opportunity:
Based out of our Surrey office, with projects from downtown Vancouver to as far out as Abbotsford, this is a role that requires travel between all of our jobsites. The successful candidate’s main responsibility is to provide ongoing and preventative maintenance for all of our heavy equipment, performing all repairs and servicing on all of our vehicles.

This is an ideal role for an experienced Heavy-Duty Mechanic looking for an opportunity to be part of a new and growing team. What you'll be doing:
Responsible for diagnosis, repair and maintenance of equipment
Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
Develops and then follows checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems
Conduct inspections as part of on going and preventative maintenance programs
Prepare inspection, maintenance, work reports and record details
Clean, lubricate and maintain all equipment, as scheduled and required
Work with the Equipment Manager, Superintendents and Foreman to ensure as much up-time and utilization of equipment as possible

What you'll need:
Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic trade certification
Five years’ experience on heavy equipment
Valid current B.C. Driver’s License
Prior experience in working with airtracks, excavators, front-end loaders, compactors, graders, rick trucks, back hoes
