Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM Watson Studio is to build and deploy an AI solution, using the best of open source and IBM software and giving your team a single environment to work in. The Watson Studio Core Team is one of key development teams to build the Data and AI platform for cognitive business and bring the next generation of integration experience for Big Data/Analytics customers. We bet on the future of Data Science, and Cognitive Computing, applying those to real-life problems and addressing relevant business challenge. With co-located development team in our Toronto lab, we have implemented Lean Startup principle and drive continuous delivery in disciplined Agile way.
We are seeking innovative candidate looking for challenge in an exciting and high paced environment as Full Stack Developer where you will contribute to design, develop and deploy our microservices with the latest and greatest technologies.
You will have the opportunity to work with various technologies and tools such as:
Tools Utilized: Grunt, ESLint, Sublime Text, Travis CI, GitHub Enterprise, ZenHub.io, Slack.
Work closely with design team in developing and realizing a vision for integration experience applications
Collaborate with product managers, designers, Architects and software engineers to develop and deploy software applications.
Work with technologies such as node.js, React to build web-based user interfaces
Develop clean code and testing and deliver to Staging/Production environment through continuous Delivery process
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Degree in Computer Science.
At least 3 years of full stack development experience
Proficiency with server side languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and .Net
Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL and CouchDB
Excellent verbal communication skills
Good problem solving skills.
