Reporting to the Manager of Total Compensation, the Compensation and Classification Analyst assists in the development, implementation, communication and administration of compensation and classification related programs.
Ensures the maintenance of the integrity of our compensation and classification structure in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS);
Supports various compensation-related initiatives through the provision of reports, statistics and analysis;
Participates in the job evaluation process for all employee groups;
Ensures that salary administration guidelines are followed;
Participates in the coordination of salary and other pay increases;
Participates in small to large-scale compensation-related projects;
Responds to salary surveys.
Days, 8 hour shifts.
Three-year community college diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field;
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a Human Resources Department or similar environment;
Familiarity with job descriptions and compensation structures
Knowledge of Collective Agreements;
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and other office applications (MS Word, Outlook, etc.);
Experience with data analytics and working with a Human Resource Information System (PeopleSoft, SAP, etc).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Excellent organization skills;
Client service-oriented and capable of managing competing priorities/meeting tight deadlines.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and timelines.
Experience working in a complex, unionized environment
Experience working in healthcare or health-related environment
Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
