Department Overview

The Financial Crimes and Fraud Management Group (FC&FMG) is an enterprise-level body that strives to protect TD Bank Group customers, shareholders and employees from financial crimes and fraud. Aligned with TD strategy and risk appetite, FC&FMG develops and evolves enterprise policies, advanced analytics capabilities and operational processes to improve governance, oversight, and collaboration between fraud management and other control functions within the Bank.

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Jr. Business Analyst will support the end-to-end delivery of business process automations & innovation initiatives in 12-16 week timeframes, in alignment with the business and / or enterprise needs and strategies. This individual will work collaboratively with stakeholders including business, technology, and finance partners to support project benefits and changes to business processes, policies, and systems across single or multiple Lines of Business (LOB's).

Support the completion and delivery of requirements and work packages for low-medium complexity projects / initiatives in alignment with business strategies. May also support team with project / program delivery. This includes:
Using a scoring model to assess the viability of new opportunities
Building process maps and business benefits packages
Supporting the documentation of requirements, processes, test scenarios, and the execution of test cases
Ensuring impacted business teams are informed with the lead time required to adopt accordingly
Monitoring automations post-implementation to measure benefits achieved against the business case
Supporting the EPID (Electronic People ID's) controls process
Supporting the development and documentation of new and changing procedure updates (as needed)

Ensure team processes are documented and plans kept up-to-date
Consolidate updates of business benefits and performance to support monthly and quarterly executive reporting
Manage inquiries into the IA inbox, new opportunity intake, and updates to the IA Program site
Work with FC&FMG Support teams to ensure business teams are able to adapt to changes by:
Documenting requirements, processes, & test scenarios
Manage fraud testing, track defects
Provide input into Change Management plans
Aligning operational readiness with program critical paths.
Monitoring post-implementation to ensure benefits are achieved
Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand the feasibility of net new opportunities and assess their alignment to other initiatives to ensure overall fit.
Work with FC&FMG business partners to identify critical success factors, document risks and develop mitigation strategies, and communicate findings to the project team.
Attend / facilitate meetings and working sessions to ensure that project objectives are being effectively managed.
Contribute to problem and event management efforts as required, working with team members to ensure the root cause is identified and a resolution is completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Job Requirements

Post-secondary education, preferably in business, finance, and / or computer programming
Analytical Thinking
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong prioritization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio
MS Project and advanced Excel skills (considered an asset)
Financial analysis (considered an asset)
Knowledge of Project Management lifecycle and Change Management methodologies (considered an asset)
Previous experience developing Process Maps (considered an asset)
