Reporting to the Manager Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is accountable for supporting the achievements of ACG’s short and long term Mission, Vision and strategic objectives. In this role, you will provide support predominantly to the IT team in the areas of candidate generation, development of candidate pipelines, sourcing, interviewing and recommending the most qualified candidates for the IT team.
Source candidates using your network for IT department as well as others across ACG
Identify new sourcing strategies to proactively build a talent pipeline
Review and screen resumes and prequalify potential candidates prior to scheduling interviews
Manage candidate experience and gauge interest for current and future positions
Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques, including social media, job boards, internet searches, networking etc.
Participate in projects/initiatives to build, pilot and enhance our sourcing capabilities
Accountable for end-to-end recruitment – including needs analysis, building recruitment strategies for vacant positions while partnering with managers and HR partners to provide guidance through the offer negotiation process
Ensure the Applicant Tracking System is updated with respect to both candidate and requisition information
Keep abreast of current trends and recruitment tools in the employment marketplace to build strategies
Monitor our hiring practices to ensure legal compliance
Provide guidance and feedback to managers throughout the recruitment process
Facilitate Recruitment related workshops for new and existing managers
Provide feedback to Management on what’s working, opportunities and trends and recommend solutions to enhance our Sourcing and Recruitment practices
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Human Resources or a related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience sourcing and recruiting candidates in an IT environment
Ability to source candidates from social media sites (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter), professional associations, online networking platforms, etc.
Experience mining online resume databases such as Indeed
Prior experience recruiting for multiple types and levels of positions using behavioural interview techniques
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships both internally and externally
Collaborative team player with a high sense of urgency
Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
