Full-time Term Vacancy – Up to 18 months
Planning Technician

The Community Development department is seeking a full-time Planning Technician to join their team for a maternity leave for up to 18 months. The Planning Technician will provide support with relation to research, analytical, report writing, presentation services respecting policy development, land use planning projects, and land use applications. The normal work week is 35 hours, Monday to Friday, plus the option of an earned time off program.

The preferred candidate will have completed a diploma or greater in geography, planning or a related discipline. A valid BC Driver’s licence is also required. A minimum of two years’ related experience is required with preference given to relevant experience in municipal government. The hourly rate of pay for this unionized position is between $26.70/hr and $31.78/hr (2019 rates) plus 17.4% in lieu of benefits.
