Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to development of user experiences using latest best of breed front end languages and frameworks.
Develop and maintain software applications according to specifications.
Help drive the visual appearance of all new features and enhancements in our suite of applications.
Design task efficient and focused interfaces aimed at simplicity and ease of use.
Evaluate business processes, make recommendations, and implement system design enhancements/changes.
Implement systems and enhancements in accordance with current production change control guidelines and standards.
Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Challenge assumptions, initiate, suggest, and spearhead major UI re-factorings striving for a more intuitive user-experience.
Design elegant solutions to complex workflows.
Act as “go to” with in-depth knowledge of user interface best practices and standards. Use research-related services, theories and methods to support your recommendations.
Document and define requirements for development and enhancement projects; and processes and procedures in the Applications Development area.
Participate in cross-training activities as required.
Work with external vendors when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s in User Experience Design, Human Interaction Design, Digital Design, Computer Science or equivalent related work experience. Six or more years of practical UX design and development experience in a designer or developer capacity.

Computer Skills:
Front End (Languages and Frameworks): Experience developing single page applications using frameworks, libraries, and modern JavaScript.
Design: Balsamiq, InVision, UXPin, Framer.js, Quartz Composer, or the like are a must.

Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may assign tasks to junior team members at Manager’s discretion.
