The Position

The Full Stack Developer will contribute to the design and implementation of web based platforms and the development of end to end software solutions. MetOcean’s immediate focus is creating a new smart platform to support real-time tracking and monitoring of in-field devices. Beyond developing software the Full Stack Developer is expected to present and discuss new technical ideas with the team, propose the right approach to ongoing projects, and ensure delivery of a quality solution.

The challenge

  • Be involved in creating a new modern web based platform for satellite IoT devices
  • Contribute within a small team analyzing, designing, and developing new web based solutions
  • Ensure the system is reliable and scalable for future expansion
  • Collaborating with product owners and the development team to create and prioritize requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience with web software development (FE and BE)
  • Capable of working the full stack from the Web UI to backend services written in C#
  • Experience with RESTful API, Swagger, MVC, Websockets
  • Experience with Front End frameworks; ReactJS
  • Solid object oriented design and programming skills using C#
  • Excellent knowledge of server query languages (SQL) and database design
  • Experience with Open Street Maps and Open Layers
  • Excellent User interface design skills, for web applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • High energy level with the ability to think creatively - passionate about the business

  • Experience with continuous integration systems (CruiseControl; Jenkins )
