The Program Management Office Coordinator (PMO) - Science Vessels is responsible for supporting the Project Delivery Directors in the drafting, coordination and submission of numerous Science Vessels-related presentations. The PMO Coordinator will also assist the Assistant Project Managers and the Program Manager in leading and executing Science Vessels projects
Duties and Accountabilities
Assists the Program Manager and Assistant Project Managers in the coordination and execution of assigned Science Vessels project activities and results.
Works closely with VSY departments including, but not limited to, estimating, contracts, planning, engineering, procurement, production, testing and risk management to ensure the project delivers on expectations.
Monitors and helps collate program metrics to measure departmental, supplier and contractor program performance.
Coordinates the production of weekly and monthly program reports and presentations that highlight Project status and Project performance against established goals and objectives.
Works with departmental representatives, suppliers, contractors and team members in resolving outstanding program issues.
Tracks departmental commitments identified during Project meetings. Establishes due dates for commitments with the Project Delivery Directors. Works closely with and supports Science Vessels project personnel.
Education and Experience
A diploma in Business Administration or related field.
2-3 years experience preparing electronic documents in a project/program office environment.
Experience with SharePoint would be an asset.
Handling document control and configuration management would be an asset.
Skills, Knowledge and required competencies
Solid understanding of record retention.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Adobe Standard.
Strong attention to detail.
Consistent record in handling multiple priorities in a matrix environment.
Ability to effectively connect with all departments and levels of the organization.
Demonstrated initiative, creativity and integrity in performing work.
Ability to maintain and run highly confidential information.
