Job Title: Senior Manager, Global Internal Communications

Main Position Objective
In support of keeping the global employee base informed, engaged and in action:
Manage the company’s global communication channels including intranet, digital displays and email communication tool:
develop editorial calendar/content strategy
pull reporting and analytics and make recommendations for improvement
provide technical oversight and maintenance
support user management and training
drive ongoing enhancements and long-term strategy with a view to optimizing the employee experience

In addition, where appropriate:
In collaboration with the Director of Internal Communications, develop and execute the organization’s global internal communications strategy in support of strengthening associate engagement and alignment to the organization’s vision and strategy.
Develop and execute communications plans to support business partner objectives.
Generate and utilize analytics to execute and refine programs for maximum return on investment and track key performance metrics.

Main Tasks
Develop and manage strong editorial calendar that informs associates on key business initiatives, performance and development programs, engagement initiatives and associate activities.
Manage the intranet site, encouraging employee engagement with the site through posts, likes and comments.
Build an internal network to help deliver content in support of our vision, strategy, priorities, people programs and engagement activities.
Support regional and functional teams in building and managing intranet content for their pages.
Effectively manage technical issues with communication channels and oversee enhancements.
Manage intranet and email reporting and analysis with intent to improve content, functionality, and/engagement.
Develop and implement long-term strategy to ensure intranet and internal news tools are optimized to add value to the organization.
Maintain policies and guidance for all internal communication tools and ensure they continue to meet IT Security regulations.
Publish regular e-newsletter to reinforce news content posted on intranet and drive employees into site.
Regularly post global content on digital displays.
Identify and prepare employee experience content for use on SCIEX social channels.
Support SCIEX global Diversity & Inclusion Council ensuring employees are engaged and informed around key initiatives and actions.
Partner with SCIEX’s parent company, Danaher, communications team to ensure that key Danaher global people programs are communicated to SCIEX employees.

Interfaces with Others

Internal : All associates, functional leaders, global/regional Human Resources team/Danaher Corporate Communications team/Communication colleagues teams at other Danaher Operating Companies
External : Vendors (creative agencies, videographers, communication software vendors, event organizers, AV providers, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree or post-graduate degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field. Work or academic background in Life Sciences is a strong plus.
5+ years of internal communications experience building enterprise-wide programs for corporate organizations.
Significant intranet and internal communication tool management experience.
Exceptional writing/editing experience, with an ability to connect ideas with macro-level priorities.
Photo, video/audio editing and publishing skills.
Strong computer skills and prior experience with following systems a plus: SharePoint Online, Poppulo, Visix/Axis TV, WebTrends, Kapost and Zoom.
Demonstrated ability to take complex ideas and translate them into key messages and creative executions that resonate with employees and/or other stakeholders.
