PETRONAS Canada is currently looking for a Contracts Analyst to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. Based in the Calgary office, this role supports and contributes to robust contract management processes and practices. This position is responsible for administering the creation of new agreements with suppliers as well as managing the amendment of existing agreements. As a key member of the SCM team, the incumbent must be able to take a collaborative approach, have excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with various Company business units as well as our supplier community.
**Note: This is a temporary 6 month position with the possibility of becoming permanent**
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Collaborate with SCM team members and other business units to prioritize the creation of agreements with suppliers as well as manage the amendment of existing agreements
Communicate effectively with suppliers in order to achieve a quick turnaround on review and acceptance of agreements
Track and communicate vendor exceptions to agreements, and within parameters, negotiate agreement terms and conditions in coordination with the Sr. Contracts Analyst
Report on the status of ongoing agreement creation and amendments and seek assistance to expedite completion when required
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Post-secondary degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive contracts administration experience
Extensive working knowledge of contract drafting and interpretation
Strong understanding of contract law, oil and gas agreements and procurement processes
Experience with Purchase and Service Order formation and execution
Oil and gas industry knowledge is essential
Excellent communication, interpersonal and teambuilding skills
Exceptional MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional internal clients, including but not limited to Engineering, Operations and Legal
