Due to a recent vacancy, we are looking for a superstar to fill the role of Payroll Coordinator on our HR team. Reporting into the Payroll and Benefits Manager, this role delivers superior customer service to all employees, managers and liaises with external suppliers while ensuring legal compliance, accurate data entry and timely payroll processing. What you will do:
Responsible for assisting payroll manager in payroll functions for both hourly and salaried employees in Canada and US.
Utilizing ADP Workforce Now, process payroll changes electronically, accurately, efficiently and according to the payroll schedule.
Input changes, bonuses, commissions, terminations, etc. in accordance with process approvals.
Calculate all vacation time owing and manage all vacation discrepancies.
Runs payroll-related reports as required including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Maintains accurate and complete employee benefit databases, personnel files and records, and updates as necessary.
Respond to all payroll, benefits and human resources inquires in a timely and professional manner.
Assist Payroll Manager in the year end reconciliations, T4's, T4A's & W2's.
Explores, researches and implements best practices to improve processes and to increase efficiency within the team.
Remain current with legislative requirements & compliance.
Maintain a regular presence within production to ensure that all employees have access to Human Resources.
Issue building swipe cards and update and maintain access database.
Provide data and information for meetings as required using MS Word, Excel and ADP - Work Force Now.
Perform all other duties and or HR related projects as assigned.

What you will bring:
Minimum 3 years of Payroll experience, preferably include general HR administration
Completion of a college or university program in Finance and/or Payroll preferred
Experience with an employer with Canadian and US operations and in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
CHRP or PCP in progress
Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office with Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
Strict confidentiality of payroll and human resources related data is required
Working knowledge of HR legislation and practices in Ontario
Effective communication – written and verbal, customer Service and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational, project management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
