DIRECTOR, DIGITAL REVENUE MANAGEMENT

We're looking to hire an experienced leader to be a part of our Rogers Media Team in the role of Director, Digital Revenue Management. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for our Digital media assets in support of Rogers Media Digital Sales. This includes developing and executing revenue and pricing strategies, maintaining performance metrics/KPI and working closely up/across the organization with stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Content, IT and Corporate Strategy.

From a strategic planning perspective, you will have a forward looking view of Media in general with a particular bent on Digital media. Your ability to navigate easily from Strategy to Product Development to Pricing to Sales to Ad Ops and all things Analytics will be essential for success in this role. You will also be instrumental in supporting the business with current market performance assessment and process improvement changes that impact day-to-day business operations.

This dynamic position is ideal for candidates who have experience leading a small team, working in a fast-paced business environment that demands constant innovation and is comfortable managing relationships with high level stakeholders. The portfolio of responsibilities is extensive and requires a well-rounded, versatile candidate capable of excelling in all aspects of the Digital business in order to set strategies that maximize revenues.

What you’ll be doing:
Lead a team of managers and analysts to develop the strategic vision for our Digital Media assets.

Play a lead role in the strategic planning process for Rogers Digital Media Sales in conjunction with Sales, Ad Ops and Content business partners.

Develop and implement pricing and yield management principles across Rogers Digital Media ad stack

Develop and implement revenue strategies that include market assessment, competitive analysis, pricing, go to market strategy, and yield metrics.

Develop and implement Sales discounting guidelines for the business and act as a point of contact/support in the negotiation of agency and media deals, including but not limited to inventory mix, rate concessions, etc.

Continuously streamline, improve and innovate processes, managing the team to create and maintain process and training documentation

Provide coaching and leadership that delivers results with accountability and efficiency.

Lead special projects / ad-hoc assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Education

Minimum of 7+ years of Media, Digital Media and/or Advertising related business experience

Excellent analytical skills and a strong track record of developing and implementing strategic plans

Experience working with ad networks, ad exchanges and/or demand side platforms preferred (Exchange, DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, Publisher Programmatic division)

Advanced Excel or related analytical tools for efficient data manipulation & modeling

Accuracy and attention to detail is vital. Responsibilities require independent judgment, initiative and problem solving.

Ability to organize and present pertinent information clearly and concisely.

Advanced oral and written communication / presentation skills, including the preparation of turn-key analyses and presentation of the results to a broad audience (e.g., executive, management, mid-management).
