We are expanding the team and looking to add an experienced leader to build and lead Content Operation function that is responsible for content strategy, planning, producing, distributing, and analyzing the performance of content. Working across the entire organization you will ensure that we have the most relevant content to support awareness, thought leadership, demand generation, and sales enablement efforts for all stages of the buying cycle.
This content must align to brand strategy and insights selling methodology and help elevate our brand externally with our customers and partners and internally with our employees.
Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Senior Manager, Content Operations will manage the Content Marketing Manager, the Chief Writer and Content Editor, and a network of external content writers and production agencies.
As our Senior Manager, Content Operations you will:
Lead the development and execution of the overall Content Strategy for Softchoice aligned to our go to market strategy.
Own content lifecycle management, from creation and editing through approvals, publishing/activation, auditing, measurement, and maintenance
Conduct content audit and align existing content to the stages of the customers buying cycle. Identify gaps and priorities in content execution.
Develop and manage the content factory – planning, production, publishing
Establish content input selection and production process. Manage and maximize the use of content contributors, external writers, and production agencies.
Define content priorities and resource allocation. Develop editorial calendar for content assets deployed on all campaigns and published on SC.com.
Participate in awareness and demand generation campaigns planning and contribute with content ideas. Create impactful relevant content that delivers value to our customers at each stage of their buying journey.
Ensure quality of content. Establish and manage content review, approval and governance process
A/B test content, make changes based on the results, optimize performance.
Lead the development and execution of the strategic roadmap for Softchoice’s blog, our inbound marketing engine, to drive new contacts acquisition, audience engagement and generate interest and consideration within the prospect base.
Collaborate with Brand, Demand Generation, Corporate Communications, Solutions marketing, Business Development and Innovation to activate the Content Marketing Strategy across all channels.
Contribute to search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives with keyword optimization, content tagging and metadata management
Produce impactful customer stories
Ensure localization and translation requirements are met
Manage content production budget
Facilitate a regular knowledge sharing, collaboration and progress around content best practices and challenges
Work closely with Marketing Ops to develop content performance measurement using Web analytics tools, marketing automation, content management systems and social media management tools; track content performance and make recommendations for optimizing content quality and channels
Put forward ideas around Martech tools to allow for better content management and measurement of its performance.
Stay up to date on the latest content and inbound marketing trends and best practices.

As our Senior Manager, Content Operations you have:
Undergraduate degree; advanced degree an asset
B2B experience, understanding the needs of IT buyers and is comfortable with creating content around technology solutions buying journey.
10+ years of content experience – a mix of content planning, production, distribution and content analytics.
Min 5 years of experience in leadership and management roles. Demonstrated ability to build high performing teams.
Strong B2B marketing, revenue operations, and content technology acumen.
Excellent communicator and collaborator. Proven experience leading change, ability to influence others, and building consensus in a highly matrixed organizational structure.
Comfortable operating in ambiguity. Self-starter, builder, passionate about driving transformation and effective communications.
Advanced writing, editing, and presentation skills.
Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills.
Budget management skills in a complex matrixed environment.
