Qualicum Beach is located by Qualicum's longest stretch of sandy beach and a seawall park. In order to fulfill that mandate, we offer upscale amenities, pool, hot tub and our spectacular 31 guest rooms and 1 two bedroom suite.

Qualicum beach Inn is looking for a Night Auditor/ Guest Service Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate must display exceptional guest service skills to our valued guests.

Job Responsibilities: Guest Service Agent

  • Welcome guests on arrival in a warm, friendly and in a professional manner
  • Ensure reservations/enquiries are handled correctly and accurately
  • Be knowledgeable about different room types, current rates, amenities, services and all hotel procedures and promotions
  • Check and ensure the accuracy of all reception floats
  • Ensure the security of all cash, property and maintaining proper confidentiality of hotel and guest information
  • Ensuring exact compliance with registration and departure procedures and completion of all documentation necessary
  • Ability to listen and respond to demanding guest needs
  • Excellent personal and presentation and communication skills
  • Book reservations by phone and process reservation with a high degree of accuracy
  • Emails are responded effectively and quickly to various inquiries and requests for booking
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
  • Expected to work shift work, including early mornings,evenings , weekends and holidays
  • Previous front desk experience, an asset but not required
  • Minimum of one year customer service
  • Compensation commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities: Night Auditor

  • Reconcile hotels daily revenue balances, ensures all pre-authorizations and charges are applied
  • Verify daily transactions in the hotel to balance postings and settlements
  • Prepare, complete and print Audit reports
  • Prepares daily housekeeping room inventory status sheet
  • Oversee the hotel on the overnight shift, 11 pm - 7 am, to ensure the safety and security of the guests and facilities
  • Assists in reviewing and implementing control policies and procedures for the hotel
  • Enter hours from the daily sign in sheets, ensuring hours are correct
  • Receive and respond to emails, faxes and telephone communications
  • Reconcile online reservations for Expedia, Booking.com and OnRes
  • Able to work the night shift, 11 pm to 7 am
  • Minimum one year experience, preferred

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
