Territory Sales Representative

MISSION - PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a Territory Sales Representative you will sell eyewear to opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists in an assigned geographical area. This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the organization based on opportunities, aspirations, and proven performance.

POSITION OF THE JOB IN THE ORGANIZATION

Department: Reporting to: Director of Sales, Optical

Scope: Regional

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sell FGX International ophthalmic frames, non-prescription reading glasses and sun collections to potential optical eyewear customers in assigned geographical area.

Meet all monthly and quarterly sales objectives and sales goals.

Implement and assist in developing marketing and sales strategies.

Maintain up-to-date call records on a daily basis and submit reports and paperwork accurately and on time.

Develop and maintain a customer universe and targeted call schedule.

Occasional overnight travel. Must be able to attend approximately four weekend conferences annually.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE

PROFICIENCIES REQUIRED:
Demonstrated success, with established business relationships

Demonstrated sales results and cold calling experience a must.

Solid understanding of customer focused selling skills, the ability to demonstrate strong product knowledge and handle sales resistance issues.

Must be motivated, willing to work on development and have excellent prioritization and organization skills.

Demonstrated solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with all levels of an organization.

Results oriented and self-directed individual with the ability to work independently while keeping direct supervisor abreast of project status.

Exhibit strong customer service through customer involvement

Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams.

Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree with over 2 years eyewear sales experience required!

Area resident a requirement.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language is a plus

Strong business partnering skills
