Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for bringing the software engineering prowess that enables innovation prototypes and products to come to life within Zero Gravity Labs and for LoyaltyOne. Working collaboratively with our technology partners, key stakeholders, and external retailers across the globe we deliver new capabilities, pilot programs and proof of concept engagements. The Innovation Software Developer plays a critical role within the Innovation Lab as the heartbeat of helping us build the most innovative products across the retail landscape. We are looking for people who reach for the highest rung on the ladder and are not afraid to fail, the true innovators and disruptors.

Choose from multiple backend languages and their related frameworks (e.g. Node.js and Express or Ruby and Rails) to design and deliver solid backend solutions.
Choose from multiple frontend frameworks to bring designs and wireframes to life (e.g. React, Angular or vue.js)
Collaborate with product managers, developers, designers and QA analysts to create best in class software
Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to create and update standards for project delivery
Participate in code reviews to enforce and teach project standards to other developers
Be an advocate for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Elegantly bring designs to life by using cutting edge technologies and techniques
Take ownership of the quality and usability of your code
Be a team player in a highly collaborative environment
Qualification:Qualifications & Credentials:
Demonstrated expertise of software architecture, implementation, and debugging and database design in a language and framework agnostic way
Experience working with open-source software and the surrounding ecosystems
Experience with modern relational or non-relational databases such as Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
Cloud platforms such as AWS, Cloud Foundry, Heroku, RackSpace or similar platforms
You are not afraid to work on any tech stack and be flexible enough to work with whatever we choose next, especially since you'll be helping us choose
Multiple years of experience with Python, Node.Js and React
Proficiency with at least one agile methodology
Self-motivated to take initiative and ownership of your work
Strong communication skills for a pair programming environment
