What will you do as a Manufacturing Technologist?
The Production Manager delegates the Manufacturing Technologist the authority to independently perform product assembly, tests, alignment, calibration, and verification as well as repair activities ensuring conformity of product to determined requirements.
Typical duties, activities and responsibilities involve:
Adheres to ESD protection and ensures proper handling of product and its components.
Follows all necessary safety requirements at all the time when job is performed.
Assembles, aligns, calibrates, verifies and tests new product in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and thoroughly ensures that product is manufactured to quality requirements.
Performs repair activities in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and thoroughly ensures that product is repaired to quality requirements.
Reports all issues or concerns immediately to the Manufacturing Manager, Production Engineer, and / or QC.
Manages time to ensure product is built and repaired to meet expected delivery date.
Records all work performed on Product Traveling Sheet including parts consumption and labour for new and repair product.
Records Work Order activities in Netsuite Work Order database.
Promptly segregates non-conforming parts and product to Quarantine area and reports to Quality Controller and / or Manufacturing Manager.
Critically reviews prototype design during pre-production run, provides feedback and improvement suggestions considering manufacturability and other aspects of design.
Proactively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives regarding process, cost or time savings.
Maintains alignment, calibration, test and other equipment and uses it with care.
Maintains clean working area.
Adheres to LMI Employee Policy Manual.
What you need to be successful?
Post secondary Technical diploma in electronics.
Minimum of 1+ years working experience as a Technologist preferably in manufacturing environment.
