Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Work in alignment with multiple Spartan departments and Race Management including the Race Director, Construction Manager, Festival Manager, Base Camp Manager and Production Assistant to ensure all inventory and race specific equipment needs are met.
Track and receive all event specific deliveries, follow up on order discrepancies, send EOD reports to management with updates of the day’s deliveries and issues.
Set up and maintain the onsite storage structure and post departmental signage. Assist with unloading of deliveries.
Manage the Event Delivery Document, tracking all incoming shipments and deliveries. Log, store, notify and release items to the department zone leader upon arrival to the venue.
Work with the Production department regarding any discrepancies on expected items and to add any additional items as needed.
Track, receive and process all heavy rental equipment deliveries: quality control, photograph, document equipment serial numbers, fuel levels, Spartan ID#, and manage all maintenance and repair requests.
Work with Base Camp Manager to ensure all basecamp needs are met (i.e. fuel deliveries, power needs and required maintenance and repair).
Maintain accurate records of all purchases and products used.
Assist Base Camp Manager with set up of vehicle and equipment parking zones for UTV’s, rental vehicles and volunteer parking.
Work with team leadership to project needs for future races and strategize deployment.
Manage all outbound shipping needs including packaging and palletizing shipments for small parcel, LTL, FTL, etc.
Notify Logistics Manager of freight needs and submit all necessary requests.
Real time data capture of deliveries and inventories.
Collect vendor invoices onsite and write checks as necessary for payment.
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure all paid daily labor is logged and issued payment onsite.
Maintain a clean and organized Base Camp at all times.
Prepare Base Camp for the influx of goods during race day close out.
Project outbound shipment plans for Base Camp.
Frequently communicates with Spartan Race employees and volunteers and therefore must be able to provide direction and exchange accurate information.
Entering online orders as necessary for events, as well as making in market purchases for supplies as needed.
Sourcing meals for up to 100 people while maintaining a budget for all staff and volunteers onsite daily.
Point of contact for volunteers during the build cycle.
Reconciliation of all support supply purchases on site. Use proper documents for purchase tracking.
Label and track radios for all staff for the entire build cycle. This includes entering information in the radio log, noting any damage and sending items out for repair as necessary.
Work with the procurement department to order supplies for the following race according to the deadlines put in place.

Compliance and completion of all safety training.
Production experience and/or event experience required.
Supply chain, inventory management, logistics experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of volunteers and employees (read and speak conversational English).
Willingness and ability to travel 11+ days at a time.
Demonstrate full range of movement including but not limited to lifting, standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and crawling.
Occasionally lifts, pushes, pulls, and moves equipment and material weighing up to 50 pounds.
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints. Excellent at multitasking.
Have experience working in a high pace customer-focused environment.
Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license without restrictions and a clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse conditions for extended periods of time.
Detailed oriented and meticulously organized.
Excellent creative problem solver and can work under deadline pressure.
Proven attention to detail and keen sense for organization and cleanliness.
Prior experience within a production environment.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as MS Office Suite, cloud based computing software packages (Google Drive, BOX, etc).
