Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the supervision of production related activities of the designated aggregates operations. This position is based at our Spy Hill Aggregates pit.
Supervise and direct hourly production crews to complete tasks required to meet daily, monthly and annual production targets
Promote and lead safe work habits including daily safety meetings, job task hazard assessments and adherence to all Company safety policies and programs
Ensure quality control of material in coordination with QC
Inventory management of crushed and washed material from inventory sales forecasts
Plan and coordinate plant and mobile repairs and maintenance working closely with the Maintenance Superintendent and Operations Manager
Manage efficiencies in staffing levels and hours of work to obtain maximum production
Skills and Qualifications:
Engineering undergraduate degree or Engineering Technology/combination of work experience and education will be considered
Three years supervisory experience; preference will be given to those with construction or construction materials experience
Mechanical experience with process equipment; cone crushers, jaw crushers, and screens
Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, teamwork skills
Intermediate level Microsoft office proficiency including Excel and Word
Please Note this position is shift work:
Typically, shift work starts around mid-March or beginning of April and goes till the end of November, then straight days through winter during overhaul till next season start up March/April
7 Am start Shift One
7 Pm start Shift Two
Every second Saturday, during operating season
