Job Summary

A North Vancouver based electrical construction is seeking a highly motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role will play an integral part in the day to day accounting and administrative reporting required by the Company.

Responsibilities

This is a part-time job working 24-32 hours a week. There is great chance of becoming permanent full time for the right person. The ideal candidate will thrive in a deadline driven environment. Its main responsibility will be assisting the accounting department with timely and accurate processing of payments and account reconciliations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full cycle accounts payable duties, including processing vendor invoices and post to Timberline AP module, reconciling vendor statements, responding to inquiries from external vendors and internal staff, processing employee expense reports and credit card Payments and reconciliations;
  • Reconcile all AR accounts, follow up with clients for prompt payment and account discrepancies, review AR reports;
  • Process daily transactions and posting;
  • Other duties will include accounts reconciliation, assist with payroll processing, and year end Financial Statement reviews; and
  • Additional duties as assigned by Controller.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3+ years Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience are required
  • Work well with deadlines and driven to achieve goals
  • Ability to multi-task and works well in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $22.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
  • General Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Payroll: 3 years (Preferred)
