The Forecasting and Analytics Manager role is responsible for leading the management and continuous improvement of brand forecasting, business analytics, data acquisition, data management and brand performance reporting. In addition, the role actively supports activities related to demand management, brand planning, sales goal setting, sales performance tracking and ad hoc analysis requests.

Initially there will be a strong focus on establishing foundational support for business processes, tools and systems that enhance business decision making and drive organizational efficiencies. This will require the Forecasting and Analytics Manager to lead organizational initiatives that will require coordination and alignment between Forecasting, Planning, Brand Teams, Finance, IT and Product Supply.

Main responsibilities / job expectations

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Leading the revenue forecasting process for key business updates including business reviews and key planning milestones
Leveraging primary and secondary research insights and team brand inputs to build accurate, actionable, and evidenced based forecasting models
Analyzing forecast and business results to highlight risks and opportunities by brand, channel, and customer
Translating risks and opportunities into forecast scenarios to enable ongoing business decision making
Improving the forecasting processes through benchmarking, process improvements, and updates to operating procedures
Leading acquisition strategy for secondary data sources
Leading Ipsen Canada data management and reporting strategy
Providing inputs to support sales and operations planning Meetings
Supporting Sales Incentive Compensation process to translate forecasts to actionable sales quotas
Supporting ad hoc analytical requests (e.g. Business Development assessments)

Knowledge, abilities & experience

Education / Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:
2+ years of work experience in forecasting, marketing analytics strategic consulting or other analytical work in the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industries

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to use analytical models to forecast business results is required
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are required
Basic to proficient capability with modern data, analytic and reporting tools is preferred (Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, etc.)
Communicates data, insights and concepts with clarity, impact and passion
Recognizes and adapts to peoples' differing communication styles and preferences
Positively challenges and persuades internal and external customers to reach mutually beneficial agreements
Follows Ipsen Corporate Policies and Procedures and Canadian industry mandated guidelines for all activities

Languages:
Bilingual (French and English) capabilities would be an asset
