Best Western Plus Stoneridge Inn & Conference Centre, (south London -Lambeth) is seeking energetic and experienced full-time breakfast cooks. Candidates must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends. Own transportation (hotel is not located on bus route) is required.

Job Summary: Responsible for the daily preparation of breakfast buffet food items.

Job Duties:

  • Sets up stations according to prescribed guidelines
  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follows recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications as set by the establishment
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift
  • Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation and organizational skills
  • Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef or Kitchen Manager at any time
  • Cleans and maintains work area, kitchen, pots, pans, utensils, implements, equipment and all storage areas
  • Check to ensure that refrigerators, freezers, ovens and stoves remain at appropriate temperature.


  • Solid understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • English language and professional communication skills are required

  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge

  • Ability to push or pull 50 lbs and lift 35 lbs regularly
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
  • Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction and must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction.
