Overview

The main functions of a Financial Analyst PCO are to gather and analyze financial information; responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients. For this role, the analyst will be primarily responsible for tracking, analyzing and presenting financial information pertaining to projects (technical or business), or other steady state and operational activities. The analyst will assume project support responsibility for all aspects of the project in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, and must be able to understand project scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. The analyst will have excellent communication and relationship building skills.

What we are looking for?

Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate financial reports based on business needs as requested.
Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, or technical effort/initiatives.
Interpret data affecting programs, such as P&L, accruals, committed, contract.
Assist in gathering forecasts from various stakeholders for each initiative, validating and updating throughout the life of the project.
Interface with various finance groups within the organization to process financial transactions or to produce financial reports.
Track and process all contracts, forecast and invoices with support from other organizations (e.g. accounts payable).
Leverage various accounting systems and software to investigate and troubleshoot expenditures, against forecast and ledger entries.
Present oral and written reports on overall financial health of project or operations for senior management.
Maintain the project files; this pertains to project documentation, approvals, drawdowns, spreadsheets, meeting minutes, monthly status reports, third party contracts and other correspondence and documentation as appropriate.
Support the Manager to ensure all appropriate areas are represented on the project team and to maintain momentum of the project against a background of constantly conflicting priorities, tight deadlines and executive exposure

You Have;

Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Ability to work effectively with a team.
Ability to analyze business/project trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
Disciplined approach to accountabilities.
Objective and open-minded approach.
Solid problem-solving skills and analytical skills to creatively develop unique solutions/approaches to resolve issues.
Perseverance, flexibility and efficiency to overcome challenges standing in the way of the successful completion of tasks.
Expert ability to balance competing or conflicting requests of various project, stakeholders, requiring a professional approach.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
5-7 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
