ABOUT OUR OPERATION
Over the next five years, Agnico Eagle will hire over 600 people across our Nunavut mining operations. We currently operate the Meadowbank mine near Baker Lake which represents the roots of Agnico Eagle in Nunavut and is our largest producer. We have been operating Meadowbank for over eight years, and it is now transitioning to process a new satellite deposit, called Whale Tail, by late 2019.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
The Mill Maintenance Planner reports to Maintenance Planning Supervisor and works in close collaboration with Maintenance team members, as well as members of the other departments. The incumbent applies the maintenance best practices in terms of preventative, corrective and modification maintenance, as well as playing an important role between the planning and the execution of work. The Maintenance Planner ensures goals and objectives are attained, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s company culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Develop and implement maintenance program for fixed and mobile equipment;
Evaluate work request with General Supervisor and Operations department;
Make sure job requirements are respected and order parts if necessary;
Build weekly schedule;
Organize content of kitting area according to the work orders status;
Keep parts list and maintenance manuals up to date for each equipment;
Evaluate, conjointly with General Supervisor, parts to be put in inventory.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
College diploma (3 years) in mechanical, electrical or industrial domain and/or undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in process plant maintenance;
Mining experience is an asset;
Experience with JD Edwards is an asset;
Cultural awareness and understanding of work in the Canadian Arctic is an asset;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word,PowerPoint & MS Project;Advanced English language skills, written and spoken.
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest; flights departing from all communities in the Kivalliq region, Mirabel or Val-d’Or, Quebec
