The Opportunity
Deloitte is committed to supporting their people’s wellness. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Wellness and Benefits, the Wellness and Benefits Specialist will support Deloitte’s commitment to enhance employee health and wellness programs and build a culture of care and connectedness. In collaboration with the wellness and benefits team, this position will support our talent strategies by implementing and administering benefits and wellness plans including providing input into the design for new initiatives and policies.

This position is located in downtown Toronto and does not require travel outside of the GTA.

Specific Accountabilities:
Wellness & Benefits Project and program coordination: research, administration, analysis, reporting, and development of end-user communication materials to support the advancement and administration of the wellness and benefits portfolio at Deloitte which includes Group Benefit Plans, ,Leaves, and Vacation and Wellness programming (i.e. health pilots, firm wide health initiatives, and wellness centre strategy)
Group Benefits Insurance support: administer of the firm’s Group Benefit Insurance Plans including Health, Dental, Life, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D). Including liaising with insurance providers during Deloitte’s annual review of benefits offerings
Benefit Team support: assist National Benefits Manager via administration of Deloitte’s flexible benefit offerings, including annual enrollment and the administration of related Health Spending Account (HSA)
Wellness support: administer Deloitte’s refreshed wellness strategy which includes programming and initiatives to support Deloitte’s 4 wellness pillars (physical health, mental health, life and work) including the implementation of the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace (the Standard)
Communication support: maintain and advance the firm’s Health and Wellness webpage and assist with the development of communication plans for wellness and benefits programming and initiatives

Other Accountabilities:
Conduct monthly benefits reporting and analysis
Collaborate on the advancement of people policies in response to government or firm initiatives
Support the National Benefits Manager with streamlining processes with IT and reviewing benefits programs for potential acquisitions with Deloitte
Research and analyze benefits and corporate wellness trends, best practices and issues related to the business, using information to assist in the design and continuous improvement of employee health including employee experience, improving retention, development and productivity
Respond to queries and escalations from Talent Advisors or Talent Services balancing consistent policy application and client service problem solving
Track and report on key metrics related to program efficacy
Participate in other Talent/HR projects as required
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:
3 or more years of benefits and corporate wellness experience or equivalent talent function experience in a large (5,000 to 10,000 employee), multi-discipline, multi-location environment with good knowledge of workplace mental health programs
Relevant university or college degree (HR, Business, Organizational Health, Workplace Health Promotion)
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Impressive attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into trends and insights
Ability to build relationships and to collaborate effectively with other internal business stakeholders
Strong willingness to learn and is able to communicate ideas on improving employee health and wellness
Superior planning and organization skills with an ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects/tasks
Demonstrates professionalism when dealing with employees, vendors and confidential and sensitive information

Any of the following would be significant assets:
CEBS / CHRP would be an asset
Familiarity with PeopleSoft
French language skills (preferred)
