Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Transformation Management Office (TMO) focuses on implementing far reaching transformational change across the provincial health care system. Corporate Services provides operational support to service providers who deliver patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba.
The senior finance transformation analyst will focus on project delivery tasks tied to important transformation goals. As this role is provincial in nature the work location is flexible and final determination of the work location will be made in consultation with the successful candidate. This work is both strategic and detailed in nature and includes coordinating the work of a team of financial analysts and other project financial and business resources working on various projects. The analyst will review reports, communications and the application of guidelines for consistency across the projects; represent the team and attend meetings with all levels of stakeholders in our partner service delivery organizations; collaborate in the analysis of the financial statements, forecasts, and budgets to be moved for the successful operation of the service in Shared Health and facilitate smooth transition of financial operations with each project.
Following approximately two years of project work with the TMO, the position will become a senior finance analyst within Shared Health or the broader healthcare system. The analyst will review and validate financial statements and forecasts, and support managers and directors with budgets and analysis as required for both operating and capital initiatives. Under tight time constraints, in accordance with IFRS (International Finance Reporting Standards) and MIS (Management Information System) Standards the analyst will prepare reports and recommendations for management and Manitoba Health.
5 years of related accounting and finance experience supporting business unit(s) within a large organization
A postsecondary degree in business administration or an equivalent relevant program from an accredited educational institution
Maintenance of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
Must have a valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle for regular travel within the province
Skills in variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, and advanced skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using SAP and/or QHR/Great Plains, and Sharepoint are assets, as are knowledge of the health care system and MIS reporting requirements
Display professionalism, diplomacy, and a continuous improvement orientation to collaborate with clients and coworkers to provide excellent customer service, and support patient and environmental safety
Embrace and practice the capabilities in the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework
Able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment and lift and move items of up to approximately 25 pounds
