Hotel Blackfoot is an Independent Hotel renowned for its high standards in customer service and cuisine. Our kitchen services approximately 1400 seats in the all-day restaurant, Lobby Lounge, Sports Bar, Comedy Club, Buffet and Banquet Facilities.

We are seeking to add experienced First Cooks to our Kitchen team.

This is a full time position, so you will get lots of hours, good wages and benefits,including a comprehensive health and dental plan, company pension plan and education and professional program.

Requirements:

  • Must have between 4 -5 years restaurant or hotel experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and knife skills
  • Must have own knives
  • Open availability, including swing and closing shifts, weekends and holidays

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work the Kitchen Line to prepare hot and cold menu items
  • Ensure quality of food and determine food size proportions
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards and applicable health and safety regulations
  • Knowledge of breakfast cookery is an asset
