Job Description

CL accounting was founded in Vancouver. Has a good reputation in the greater Vancouver area for many years. We are a professional accounting firm specializing in business planning and customized tax services. With the rapid development of the company, we need to seek an excellent Accountant to join our team!

Job Title: Accountant (NOC Code: 1111)

Work Location: 3665 Kingsway #300, Vancouver, BC V5R 5W2

Wage: $35/hour

Working Hours: 40hrs per week

Responsibilities:
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting tax forms.
Ensure the financial and accounting reports and programs are followed and comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Performing bookkeeping, cheque run preparation, bank reconciliation, some cash management, simple tax return data entry, accounting journal entries, basic consolidation, budgeting and financial administration services for our private companies and publicly listed company.
Develop relationships with internal constituents by effectively communicating policies and procedures, and enhancing their ability to understand their account activity.
Consults directly with clients regarding tax and business consulting, and develops detailed financial reports on a periodic basis for the client regarding business income, business expenses, gross taxes and other reports as needed.
Contacts and confers with clients by any means necessary in order to determine the reason for delinquency and/or overdrawn status, and to arrange an appropriate course of action in order to remedy the situation.
Supervise aspects of the financial engagement including creating, completing and reviewing work papers, writing audited financial statements and attending client meetings as needed.
Review company overhead costs and internal accounts payable processes.
Assists in all tax reporting for Federal, State and Local tax compliance reporting, including the tax returns.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or other Business School Degree and preferably 3 years related experience preferred. CPA credentials is a plus.
Proficiency in using Microsoft software (predominantly Excel and Access) as required to perform essential job functions
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities;
Ability to foster and maintain strong interpersonal communication skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
