We have a new program opening by mid-October (or sooner). We need to fill five (5) Full Time lines for two (2) In-home Support Workers and one of each of the following 8-hr lines: 7 am – 3 pm; 3 pm – 11 pm; 11 pm – 7 am (Awake Overnight) for a youth client. This program will be a one-bed resource for an Indigenous youth. Each line will include one weekend day.


  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with youth at risk
  • Post-secondary education in a related field required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of addictions, FASD, and attachment issues.
  • Naloxone training
  • Unrestricted Class 5 License and acceptable driving record. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you don’t hold this type of license.


  • MANDT, First Aid, CPR and / or NVCI training
  • Have an understanding of Indigenous culture, traditions, traditional foods and symbols of youth heritage
  • Demonstrate clear, direct and sensitive verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate ability to deal with challenging, street-entrenched youth, strategy development, mediation, counseling, advocacy, community networking, and life skills management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of different child and youth care approaches, the development of youth service plans, and legislation and government regulations applicable to the program


  • Assist/teach youth life skills as required
  • Encourage acceptable social standards and set and maintain appropriate limits
  • Give input into assessments and youth care plans
  • Maintaining forms and reports for each youth
  • Daily operations of the program such as grocery shopping, house and yard work, meal prep, and working with the youth to participate in these activities as well
  • Facilitate recreational and/or educational activities
