Job Purpose & What Success Looks Like

Ensuring consistent brand messaging and alignment with direction from the Marketing Manager, the Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining a content strategy, coordinating and executing marketing campaigns and allocating internal/external resources to marketing projects. Our office is fast-paced and quick turnaround is the norm, so a positive, can-do attitude is a must.

Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns appropriate for JB’s industry audiences
Coordinate and execute the social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, & YouTube) reflective of the company branding to support and enhance business growth
Gather, research and prepare communications material for internal and external audiences consistent with marketing strategy
Perform keyword research and suggest relevant content topics
Coordinates monthly social content photo/video shoots
Is an advocate of the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
Writing, proof-reading and editing marketing materials, blogs and email campaigns
Participate in planning, coordinating and execution of trade shows and event initiatives internationally
Monitors and maintains marketing materials/asset inventory
Monitors various marketing campaign performance and shares results
Collaborates with internal teams to achieve departmental goals
Works closely with sales teams to ensure understanding of marketing campaigns and the outcomes achieved
Outreaches to build partnerships and find promotional opportunities
Assists in developing and executing paid media campaigns including Paid Social, Google Search and Google Display Network
Develop a strong knowledge of the company’s products and the collection and documentation of ‘competitive intelligence’ in the market
Qualifications & Skills
College-level diploma or University Degree in Marketing or a related field
Minimum 2-3 years related experience
Minimum 1 year of social media experience
Exceptional English communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Experience with teamwork tools such as Asana, Trello or similar
Strong graphic skills and a keen sense of design
Demonstrated research skills
Experience writing effective marketing copy
Understanding of digital marketing channels
Experience creating, implementing and managing social media campaigns, knowledge of best social media tactics
Experience with marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Hootsuite or similar
Experience with targeted and paid media promotion
Basic analytics capability to analyze performance, adapt and optimize content
Able to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize effectively
A thirst for knowledge and an ability to keep on top of changing practices within the world of digital marketing
Photography, video, and animation skills are an asset
Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is an asset
Bilingual skills are an asset
