Genrep is the exclusive Canadian distributor for two world leaders in Diesel Engine technology, FPT and DOOSAN, and the Ontario and Quebec distributor for MITSUBISHI DIESEL ENGINES. The Opportunity

Genrep is positioned for significant growth and we are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Genset Sales professional to identify, manage, and close on new business opportunities. You will help evolve our Sales culture through your technical knowledge, high energy, and sales hunter approach.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your leadership skills and industry knowledge to sell and market Genrep Power Generation equipment and related items in order to achieve annual sales targets
  • Business development activities exploring and identifying new market opportunities
  • Originate and establish new customer accounts
  • Primary customer interface for the organization as the customer champion
  • Ensure that Genrep offers competitive pricing to our customers and collect pricing feedback for any lost bids
  • Conduct business presentations as necessary throughout the sales cycle, both to potential partners and internally to management/staff
  • Participate in forecasting and strategic planning
  • Build internal Genrep relationships with department stakeholders and delegate appropriately amongst the internal team, in an effort to efficiently achieve Genrep volume and income objectives
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with other Genrep teams, customers and customer representatives
  • Other duties as required

Desired Skill, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Demonstrated industry experience is essential as well as previous success in a sales hunter role
  • Post-secondary education with a diploma/degree in Business Management, Marketing or Engineering.
  • Outstanding business acumen with an ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Experience in the Generator and/or Engines industry is required
  • Awareness of TSSA and CSA regulations is an asset
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to challenge opinions and provide one's own, using an influential and collaborative approach
  • Proven skills at establishing and building key business partnerships both externally to drive revenue and internally to optimize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Must hold a valid G Class driver’s licence with access to reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to travel
