As a Principal Consultant, you are responsible for driving revenue and gross margin contribution through Microsoft services and Microsoft Cloud Consumption (Digital Partner of Record incentives), for a wide variety of customer scenarios.

Working within the Microsoft Cloud and Infrastructure Optimization (MCIO) Practice, you will evangelize, position and architect Microsoft solutions with customers through a consultative and insight-selling techniques. The position is responsible for accurately capturing customer vision and business requirements in support of solution architecture, project scoping and Statement of Work authoring. Key performance metrics include Practice delivery excellence, Practice (people) revenue and gross margin, cloud consumption and upsell, and customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the MCIO National Director, this role has a billable consulting responsibility balanced with Pre-Sales, Solution/Service design & development and related activities.


Provide Microsoft domain expertise and advisory services to Compugen customers
Align Microsoft solutions, offerings and services to Compugen customers
Assist sales and Practice teams with solution design & scoping for Statements of Work, RFPs and proposals
Coordinate with Compugen internal & external partners for solution design/delivery
Lead and support MCIO services engagements and projects
Mentor, coach & support MCIO coworkers as required
Work in partnership with other Compugen business units, including other disciplines of Advanced Solutions professionals
Act as a technical lead/Subject Matter Expert for MCIO, in your area of expertise
Act as Solution Architect and technical Subject Matter Expert/lead, as required
Lead or support MCIO team during Envisioning, Design and Planning workshops, as required
Provide quality assurance review of delivery artifacts, prior to customer distribution
Achieve personal billable utilization target, measured quarterly
Sales Support
Support the sales team during pre-sales for service opportunities on Microsoft services
Assist with the development of new solution offers and services
Proactively work with Sales/Software teams to identify potential customers for Compugen solutions
Support approved customer responses which contribute to key MCIO metrics.
Client visits during sales process as required
Achieve personal non-billable utilization target, measured quarterly
Contribute to National MCIO revenue and gross margin targets, through direct utilization and sales support activities
Practice framework
Develop and continuously refine MCIO delivery templates and framework
Collaborate with Microsoft as assigned by MCIO Director
Assist with MCIO Practice maturation and MPN readiness plan
Documentation of Technical Implementation Blueprints for delivery guidance
Achieve personal non-billable utilization target, measured quarterly

Broad Microsoft technical background with a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in a customer-facing solution-design and/or technical solution-selling role
Demonstrable ability to summarize complex business and technical scenarios in plain English
Demonstrable ability to align customer objectives to Microsoft/Compugen solutions
Extraordinary communication skills – listening, written, verbal
Attention to detail and quality with a high degree of productivity, while handling deadlines and multiple conflicting priorities
Able to work effectively within a dynamic, complex environment with an unpredictable work schedule
Preferred designations include: Azure Sales Specialist, Office365 Sales Specialist, EMS Sales Specialist, MCSE/MCITP designation or equivalent
