About this Opportunity
As the Control System Technician, you will be based out of our Weston manufacturing site and play a critical role in supporting the areas of rotating equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, equipment programming/coding, failure analyses, equipment specifications and design, equipment startup and mechanical maintenance training. This role provides a wide variety of support services to the team and the successful candidate will be detail oriented with strong organizational skills and a team player attitude.
Assist with or provide mechanic training
Provide equipment troubleshooting assistance to various groups/units
Coordinate and communicate analyzer equipment maintenance and certification
Lead user group discussions for sharing best practices and problem identification
Facilitate defect or failure identification for follow-up recommendations
Review equipment design vs. operating conditions to ensure operation within OEM specifications
Lead root cause failure analysis investigations
Lead mechanical equipment operating reliability investigations
Assist in review of maintenance data to determine trends; identify problem areas or repeat failures
Assist region in execution (communication, training, implementation, etc.) of initiative strategies and processes
Participate as a Subject Matter Expert on various types of Company coordinated audits
Use various types of application software (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, AMS, Maximo, KMS, etc.) to perform tasks related to position: tracking measures, processing work orders, etc.
Gathers data, validates, checks and prepares reports as required; approves invoices (within authority level), timesheets, etc. when required
Provide experience-based training to beginner supervisors; when necessary, provide facility/area coverage and direction for operations/other assigned personnel in asset supervisor absence
Review equipment PLC coding, debug and make programming adjustments as required
Associate degree in electronic technology or related field and/or equivalent experience
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Mechanical Supervisor, Mechanic, and in a manufacturing unionized environment
Ability to read and understand system maps, fluid flow, piping design
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC), SCADA design and process control basics
Prior DOT compliance experience required
Experience using Maximo or a similar maintenance planning system
Ability to manage multiple projects and handle multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a functional or cross functional team
Strong knowledge of maintenance activities associated with gas gathering, gas processing and compression
Proven analytical skills and organizational skills with high degree of competency
Possess strong customer focus orientation with attention to customer needs
