Prepares work plan to be scheduled by the Manager and Supervisors to support the delivery of effective maintenance practices including the effective use of labour, minimizing equipment down time, validating materials inventory, monitoring costs and avoiding conflicting facility and labour requirements.
Develops and supports the implementation of planned maintenance schedules.
Prepares, monitors and reviews work orders as required, prepares and reviews maintenance records to ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedule.
Analyzes work orders and monitors work plan performance reviews with the Manager and Supervisors and makes adjustments to improve the performance of the work plans.
Schedules and tracks special maintenance or upgrading tasks into regular maintenance work plan, and analyses maintenance and life cycle costs to prepare repair/replacement recommendations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school graduation plus a trade qualification or diploma in a related maintenance or planning discipline, together with short courses in maintenance planning and scheduling, and training in the use of personal computers. Requires four (4) years related experience in vehicle maintenance and/or component overhaul, in an automotive/electrical/electronic/mechanical/service/parts environment, together with demonstrated skills and knowledge of maintenance planning processes and procedures, including exposure to and detailed knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and life cycle costing.
A further period of up to one (1) year is required in the position to become familiar with Coast Mountain Bus Company maintenance planning procedures and systems.
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
37.5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay
Salary Starting from $6,271 per month.
