The Role:
As an IGM Business Architect you are responsible for assisting IGM business lines and functions in defining, designing, enhancing and enabling business capabilities, processes, and platforms. The role supports the development of multi-year roadmaps that define the enhancement and development of core IGM business capabilities through collaboration with internal business, technology and operations stakeholders. The role will also work closely with counterparts in Technology to ensure that technical solutions are aligned to business needs.

Align business and system requirements

Key Activities:
Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing and documenting the key views of the enterprise.
Capture tactical and strategic enterprise goals and map to defined, measurable objectives that provide ongoing guidance and accountability.
Describe key business functions and processes of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions. Describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
Participate in the identification and definition of the information shared across the enterprise, the relationships between that information and the providers and users of the information.
Capture relationships among roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the internal or external management of those units. Identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems and understand how these entities fit within the business model.
Synthesize information about strategy, process, information and roles to help design and develop business architecture models, business capability blueprints and roadmaps to drive desired business outcomes.
Work closely with business experts, technology account managers, technology development, enterprise architects, vendors, and contractors to understand business and system requirements.
Ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and work flow automation, business initiatives, IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

7+ years experience within financial services industry, or consulting firms; in depth knowledge of stated industry, of technology and of process, such as cross-functional business processes for major operational areas
Must have experience in the Financial Services Industry specifically in Investment Management.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Architecture certification CBA, BAIP, TOGAF
Strong process analysis and modeling skills along with ability to lead complex enterprise teams through business process integrations, converting business strategy into action-oriented objectives and measurable results
Strong organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong presentation and facilitation skills guide business partners through value-add discussions and enhance the decision-making process
Team player with the ability to influence others and move toward consensus
Ability to develop, maintain and manage relationships at various levels within the Company
Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, and able to prioritize multiple projects at once
