Part of our executive team and reporting to ourCEO, the Headof People& Culture will be the strategic leader owning Plum’s internal mission – “one year, one team.” You will help us achieve organizational design to truly operate as one team. This will include building out all Human Resources practices, as well as supporting our business leaders and employees on all HR-related activities, such as workplace culture, engagement, talent acquisition, performance management, change management, employee relations, compensation philosophy and execution, and employee learning. We are a small team, gearing up to scale;you will buildan HR department from the ground upbycreating, driving and implementingsustainable HR programsthat support our business strategy. Youwill be strategic,but don’tmind rolling up yoursleeves and digging in,leadingbusiness-focused initiatives while also driving solutions on a day-to-day basis. Youwill collaborate with our CEO and fellowDirectors to design and implement systems and processesthat reflect the business objectives of the organizationthat will involve, empower,and motivate employees.

  • You’re adaptable, agile,and capable to deal with and communicate change effectively
  • You’re very organized, resourceful, and have impeccable attention to detail
  • You have excellentcommunication, negotiation,and influencing skills demonstrated by the ability to use a range of different approaches to gain acceptance of proposals and decisions
  • You have excellentrelationship building and interpersonal skills combined with cultural sensitivity

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically lead organizational design with the goal to fulfill our vision: “one year, one team.”
  • Report to the CEO as well as partner with leaders to understand the business strategy and to deliver appropriate, timely and high-quality HR solutions
  • Educate and coach employees and managers on core HR processes including (but not limited to) talent management, developmentand performance management, salary review, short-/long term incentives
  • Leverage knowledge of HR and business practices to influence the best outcomes for the organization
  • Leadand executeon strategy for employee engagement and culture
  • Facilitate the development of organizational structure in support of business growth and continuously review the structure to ensure it is meeting the dynamic needs of the business
  • Coach managers and employees to fully leverage performance feedback and coaching to drive improved results
  • Provide ongoing HR consultingservices to employees and leaders on HR programs, practices, policies, legislationand regulatory requirements as well as support in employee relation issues as required
  • Drivehiring activity to ensure a strong talent pipeline for all assigned business units/functions, sincewe are going to double in size. Responsible for hiring new team members
  • Drivecontinuous improvement and best practices to influence HR strategies, policies and procedures

Requirements

CHRL designation or equivalent

A strong track recordofexperience and progressive responsibility in Human Resources, with a deep understanding of performance management, talent management, learningand development, organization design, compensationprinciples as well as policies and related legislation

Strongdiagnostic skills followed by anability to evaluate options/alternatives and to develop recommendations for solutions to human resource-related issues
