Lordco Parts Ltd. began in 1974 and since then has grown to become the largest auto parts retailer in Western Canada. Lordco is an owner operated, family run business that has expanded to include 86 retail locations, 7 distribution centers, 3 machine shops and a myriad of specialty divisions that include High Performance, RV and Marine, Truck Accessories, Equipment, Paint and Body, Import and Industrial Supplies.

Work under the guidance of the IT manager to implement, support, and secure network and server infrastructure as required
Responsible for the secure and efficient operation of the network infrastructure as member of the network and infrastructure team
Perform routine checks and automate recurring tasks wherever applicable.
Provide level II/III technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues relating to desktops systems, software, network and hardware
Be result-oriented with tasks, complete with high sense of urgency and quality
Resolve problems by executing Standard Operating Procedures and provide feedback and work towards the improvement of the procedures.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Produce comprehensive design and maintenance documentation and training where required
A high capacity for learning new technologies
Other specific projects/tasks as required
Key Skills and Knowledge Required
4+ years of experience in a System Administrator role
Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Computer Science or relevant industry experience
A strong understanding of the architecture, design, implementation and management of all aspects of Microsoft Windows operating systems
A good understanding of both on premise and cloud-based application services and technologies (Microsoft Azure platform)
Deep knowledge of core Microsoft products such as Windows Server 2019, Remote Desktop Services, Terminal Services, WVD and Office 365
Good understanding of TCP/IP, firewall, networking protocols, and security concepts
Strong communication skills that enable IT to partner with other members of our business units on new initiatives
Have solid understanding of network services and interoperability
Ability to work with customers in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
Strong history of positive customer interaction and customer support
Auto parts or an automotive background is an asset
Experience in retail is a strong asset
