About the Position:
The Administrative Clerk is responsible for a variety of clerical/administrative functions supporting the long-term care and retirement home.
WAGE: $20.64 hourly
Medical Office Administration diploma desired.
Must pass a Criminal Records and vulnerable sector check.
Several years of administrative experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Knowledge of scheduling and medical processes in long-term care preferred.
Pleasant telephone manner with strong customer service skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to deal with tight timelines
To respond to incoming telephone lines and take and relay messages as required.
To greet visitors and directs them as appropriate.
To maintain or assist in maintenance of resident records /files.
To perform filing assignments
Prepare and post the nursing, and support services schedule under the direction respective manager (Gold Care )
Update and maintain the staff schedules daily and present to Managers for approval.
Complete weekly Payroll as assigned.
Assist in the admission process by assembling Resident Charts, entering required information in the resident database (Point Click Care), produce new charts and labels
To carry out various clerical duties and prepare reports as required
To book meetings and appointments as needed.
To be knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavor to promote it.
To work in a position of trust with vulnerable adults (residents)
To ensure resident satisfaction and continuous quality improvement initiatives are promoted.
To recognize their team role as an “essential worker” in an ever-changing environment
