The MindBeacon Group is comprised of CBT Associates, MindBeacon Health and MindBeacon Software. Since 2002, we have been a leading provider of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based therapies through our network of clinics across the Greater Toronto Area. BEACON was first introduced in 2016 as an in-clinic innovation to enhance delivery and measurement of CBT. BEACON launched in 2017 as a fully digital experience providing treatment through digitally-delivered CBT with the one-on-one support of a dedicated therapist all along the way. Founded by clinical and technology innovators, BEACON leverages existing and emerging cloud and machine learning technologies to advance the state of the art for mental health clinical capacity.

The Role

As a member of the Product Team, you will own the BEACON user experience. You’ll have the opportunity to transform consumer digital experiences in a fast-paced environment by striking the right balance between the transactional and the emotional—always keeping our users and their goals in mind.

You won’t be alone. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will work as part of a closely integrated team of Product Managers and Designers building amazing products based on user-centric, data-driven product development. Working closely with clinical experts, content creators, architects and engineers to ensure product success.

Team player. You must successfully collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work

You will:
You will lead user research including discovery workshops, usability studies and user surveys
You will lead and create customer research artifacts, user journey maps, low-to-high fidelity prototypes and usability studies
You will lead design of SaaS web and mobile applications for enterprise-UX architecture and interaction
Create, follow, evangelize, and enforce UX design guidelines and best practices.

Our ideal candidate with have:
5+ years UX or interaction design experience; experience with responsive web design and frameworks
Proven well-designed examples of responsive grid-based layouts. Strong work portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices
Strong ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path as well as edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs
Ability to explore, identify, and validate user needs
Tool Expertise: InVision & Sketch
Deep understanding of information design / architecture, principles, and user psychology
Ability to manage time wisely across projects and competing priorities, meet agreed upon deadlines, and be accountable for work
Experience in working with a cross-functional team
