Why this role is important?

The Sr. Manager, Business Administrative will manage the broad scope of administrative operations within the SHN. The position is also responsible for the comprehensive management areas of responsibility include Facilities and Maintenance, Health and Safety, internal and external vendor relations, space and equipment planning, communications, reception, operations management, and special projects. The Administrative Manager works in conjunction with Senior Manager, Supply Chain.

What You'll Do:
Administration and Business Operations
Ensures that people, systems, and processes are in place and working optimally at all sites to support the Department's strategic objectives and desired outcomes.
Develops, manage and oversee implementation of administrative policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Provides leadership in problem solving, project planning and management; development and execution of identified goals, priorities and objectives.
Acts as a resource for the Senior Leadership Team
Manages and reviews processes and procedures; streamlines for efficiencies and effectiveness to ensure smooth functioning office
Manages, develops, implements, maintains and updates administrative policies, practices and procedures.
Develop, implement & manage policies, procedures and guidelines for financial transactions. Collaborate with the department's Senior Finance Managers and Finance Analysts in Finance Portfolio to ensure that financial resources for capital and resource plans are optimized.
Manages the work of the administrative team, including 1 Admin coordinator and 1 receptionist.
The incumbent is responsible for hiring, discipline, evaluation and termination
Develops, oversees and implements a departmental communications strategy.
Develops and implements guidelines and procedures to promote health and safety, sustainability & ergonomics in the Administration Office and office sites.
This position requires strong organizing and prioritizing skills to effectively and efficiently manage the area of Business Administration. The incumbent is responsible for a high degree of self-direction and is required to exercise superior judgment and performance in all areas.

What You'll Need:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline Minimum of three years’ experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in an administrative position preferably in health-related setting is preferred.
Effective oral, written, interpersonal communication.
Supervisory experience required.
Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to improve existing systems and processes.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, organize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ability to complete projects/tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to research and compile information drawn from various sources.
Ability to exercise a high level of judgment, tact, diplomacy and discretion when communicating with internal and external contacts, to influence and persuade others and to apply a broad knowledge of policies and procedures.
Ability to deal with a diversity of people in a calm, courteous and effective manner.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage staff performance by establishing standards and goals, evaluating performance, providing feedback and taking corrective action.
Experience and ability to effectively use MS Office applications at an intermediate level is required and familiarity with multiple computer platforms (PC, OS etc) is an asset.
