We are searching for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our Vancouver Technology team! The role will be responsible for managing and maintaining systems, network infrastructure and related platforms for our Vancouver and Kelowna studio locations. The ideal candidate will be an intermediate level administrator with a diversified skill set that caters to both systems and network admin tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with other Systems Administrators with the Installation, configuration, administration and maintenance of Bardel's server, network and storage infrastructure.
Maintain render farm machines onsite and offsite
Administration and maintenance of our Virtual and Cloud infrastructure.
Ensure Bardel's security policies are deployed and maintained throughout the studio's infrastructure.
Preparation and maintenance of infrastructure documentation on all systems, procedures and solutions to issues.
Maintain and manage Bardel's server and network monitoring tools.
Recommend and evaluate open source and off-the-shelf software solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with production and administration applications
Troubleshooting and resolving network infrastructure issues.
Provide input into potential improvements in efficiency, reliability and performance of the animation pipeline.
Assist and mentor the Desktop Support team.

What you bring to the table:
Minimum 3+ years experience as a System Administrator or Systems Engineer
Post secondary education in Computer Sciences, IT or equivalent experience an asset
Strong knowledge of Linux (CentOS, Red Hat)
Experience with network services and architecture (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, etc.)
Experience managing and maintaining network infrastructure (Brocade, Mellanox, Palo Alto etc.)
Experience with Microsoft Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with automated deployment (Foreman, Puppet)
Experience in heterogeneous computing environments
Excellent communication skills

Additional pluses:
Experience in the media and entertainment industry (VFX, television, animation or gaming)
Knowledge of cloud computing (AWS)
Knowledge of Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization / oVirt
Knowledge of storage technologies (Pixstor, NetApp, Isilon)
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift
Knowledge of Python and PowerShell
Experience with video conferencing and VOIP (Cisco, Mitel)
