Reporting to the Program Director, the Senior Patient Care Manager is responsible for effective and efficient delivery of health services for a significantly sized clinical program that encompasses multiple clinical departments/units. The position is responsible for management and oversight of the overall planning, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of acute care across these department/units. The Senior Manager provides leadership and direction for the clinical operations management, utilization and risk management, and quality improvement of the departments/units. In addition, directs the efforts of leaders and an interdisciplinary team in the attainment of the organization’s strategic and operational goals and in the achievement of excellence in patient and family centered care.
Masters’ Degree in a relevant health care profession supplemented with leadership and business management courses plus ten (10) years’ recent, related clinical and progressive leadership experience in a medium to large health care organization, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Current registration or membership with a recognized professional association.

Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to succeed with own work activities and to delegate to achieve maximum efficiency.
Proven record of identifying and analyzing complex situations and problems and finding innovative yet viable solutions that meet the organization’s operational and strategic goals.
Promotes development of clinical research opportunities to ensure evidence-based practice within an interdisciplinary team-based environment.
Demonstrated computer literacy with current word processing, spreadsheet, email and database programs, and the ability to navigate health information and EHR technologies with ease.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
