This is a great opportunity to enhance your academic learning experience in a real work environment by assisting in climate change research activities.
One position will be focused on assisting with GIS analysis, mapping, and fieldwork support for various projects. The second position will be focused on a collaborative project with a Yukon First Nation that is developing tools and a protocol for research within their traditional territory.
Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree program or registered as a student at Yukon College
Enrolled in a Science or communication-related discipline
Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated and ability to work effectively as a supportive team member
Experience in a research setting will be considered an asset
Strong computer skills
Experience with GIS and database software will be considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Previous professional experience conducting literature reviews and assessments will be considered an asset.
